Introduction

SEO Breadcrumbs & Schemas ("the App") is a Shopify application that generates structured data (JSON-LD) for online stores. This privacy policy explains how we handle data when you install and use our app.

Data We Collect

The App accesses and stores the following data from your Shopify store:

• Store information: Your store domain name and configuration preferences (breadcrumb settings, module enable/disable states).
• Product data: Product titles, URLs, SKUs, barcodes, and vendor names — used solely for generating structured data schemas.
• Collection data: Collection titles and product listings — used for ItemList schema generation.
• Content data: Page and article titles and URLs — used for breadcrumb and FAQ schema generation.
• Metafields & Metaobjects: App-owned metafields and metaobjects that store your FAQ items, brand entities, store locations, and event data.

We do not collect, store, or process any customer personal data, payment information, or order data.

How We Use Your Data

All data accessed by the App is used exclusively to:

• Generate JSON-LD structured data for your storefront pages
• Provide schema validation and conflict detection
• Store your app configuration preferences
• Serve the optional REST API endpoint (if enabled)

We do not sell, share, or transfer your data to any third parties.

Data Storage & Security

App configuration data is stored in a secured PostgreSQL database hosted on Heroku. All communication between your Shopify store and our servers uses HTTPS encryption. Shopify Metafields and Metaobjects are stored within your Shopify store's infrastructure.

Data Retention & Deletion

When you uninstall the App, all configuration data stored in our database (settings, logs, API keys) is automatically deleted. Metafields and Metaobjects created by the app remain in your Shopify store and can be managed through Shopify admin.

You can request complete data deletion at any time by contacting us.

GDPR Compliance

The App complies with GDPR and Shopify's data protection requirements:

• We handle Customer Data Request, Customer Data Erasure, and Shop Data Erasure webhooks as required by Shopify.
• We do not process personal customer data — the app only works with store catalog and configuration data.
• Data portability: All your structured data configurations can be exported via the app's API.

Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services:

• Heroku: Application hosting and database
• Shopify: Platform APIs for store data access

No analytics, tracking, or advertising services are used.
